FABRIC HISTORY

Resulting from a tradition which began several centuries ago, the catalan way of weaving expanded at the end of the XIXth century. At the same time, St Laurent de Cerdans became famous and prosperous thanks to the manufacture of rope-soled sandals.

With unchanging craftmanship, the old looms manufacture typically designed and coloured cloths like those which made the catalan table-linen famous.

The designs are inspired by samples found in the archives, but the key to their success is in their capacity to be innovative and adapting to the fashion of our time.

It is all in the art cross two series of perpendicular threads by making cross the weft yarn in the space trained by the separation of warp yarns.
